I have been working with computers and programming on and off since 1967, when I took my first computer programming course in college. Back then, the computer required an entire, air-conditioned room all to itself and a team of technicians to run it. When I submitted programs to the computer staff on cards I had punched myself, I hoped the staff would be able to schedule tiime to run it during the next 24 hours. I never imagined I would one day own my own computer on which I could create and publish designs that could be seen instantaneously all over the world. What fun!

In 2000, I started my journey into web design very simply. I tried to set up a website using a word processor-like program called HomePage. The program had limited capabilities so I was forced to learn other ways to accomplish my goals. That's when I noticed how much I enjoyed playing around with the code and solving the inevitable problems that arose trying to be creative with a technical medium. I had an immediate opportunity to find out just how much I enjoyed it when my wife asked me to design and build a website for her business. It took me a long time and many learning curves before I was able to publish her site at: www.ShainaNoll.com. However, once it was up and running, I was ready for more.

Having discovered how much I enjoyed creating Shaina's website, I was delighted to create or redesign websites for friends when opportunites arose. Of course, this resulted in much more learning as I did new things to accomodate the needs of the different websites. One of the more exciting discovery adventures was learning how to set up and run an online store for Shaina's website in the Spring of 2004. No sooner had I completed my first store, when I had the opportunity to set up two other online stores. The "Web Assistant" had officially opened his doors. I like helping people accomplish their goals as well as learn to do things for themselves. This may result from my love of teaching. I taught high school and college students physics, mathematics, psychology, science and computer modeling for over 20 years in Santa Fe. I offer my teaching skills to anyone who could use some help launching a website. Not only can this be a fun learning process, but a skill that will save time and money over many years.

Shaina and I own and operate Singing Heart Productions, LLC, a music production company in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For that portion of my life, I do recording engineering, play music and am learning to arrange and compose my own songs.

I have been married to Shaina Noll for the last 20 years and have two wonderful, teenaged children, Rachel and Mischa. I have lived in Santa Fe for 29 years and still love the light, the mountains and the simple, desert quiet that first drew me here. I meditate and do yoga every morning to balance my mind, body and spirit for each day's adventures, then take a brisk run with my two shelties through the high-mountain terrain as the sun is rising. Life is good.
