I was given the opportunity to recreate an existing website for an artist friend, David Milliken, who has a commercial site for his art mats and art rugs. He wanted his art mats displayed simply and elegantly on search engine friendly pages.

His art is so interesting and elegant that simply displaying the mats/rugs on a page creates an elegant impression. If you visit the site, you'll notice that the web pages are simple with a gray background that effectively features his art work. He and I wanted to display his mats on simple frames that show thumbnail images of all the mats in a menu on the left and a large image of whichever thumbnail is selected in the main body of the page. However, such frames are not search engine friendly. So we compromised and displayed all the thumbnails on a selection page for each category while inviting the customer to view the mats on a framed page. This way, all the links and pages are available to seach engines while still making the framed selection pages avialable to customers for viewing pleasure and ease.

To view the whole website, just move your cursor over the website name, ArtMatters-LLC.com, and a new browser window will open that contains the website. You can explore the site and click on the buttons and links. When you are finished viewing the site, close the window. This current page will remain open in case you'd like to visit some of the other websites I have listed in the menu.
